January was horrible and February had a few decent movies. As far as wide releases went, February had a 24%. March has 13 releases (1 more than February) and of those there are 8 I want to see. That bumps the percentage to 62% which is drastically increased.

The top 5 picks in order are below:

1) Logan

Directed by James Mangold
Starring: Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Boys Holbrook

This movie picks up much later in a timeline (X-Men timelines are almost pointless). Logan (aka Wolverine) is taking care of an ailing Professor Xavier trying his best to stay off the radar. It all changes when a young mutant appears and he is forced to take up the cause one last time.

2) Kong: Skull Island

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts
Starring: Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Goodman

A small contingent of soldiers, explorers, and scientists is tasked with investigating an uncharted island. They are eventually attacked by a gigantic monster. Soon the truth comes out that the island and most of the inhabitants have been scientifically modified.

3) Power Rangers

Directed by Dean Israelite
Starring: Brian Cranston and Elizabeth Banks

A group of troubled high school kids happen upon the remains of a spaceship that gives them superpowers. Turns out they will have to use them to save the world from Rita Repulsa.

4) Beauty and the Beast

Directed by Bill Condon
Starring: Dan Stevens, Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Ewan McGregor, and many more

It’s a tale as old as time. Belle takes the place of her father as a prisoner in the Beast’s castle. Soon she falls in love as any girl would in her situation.

5) Ghost in the Shell

Directed by Rupert Sanders
Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Michael Pitt, and Chin Han

A robotically enhanced police officer begins a case tracking down one of the most infamous hackers. This leads her down a spiral of what is real as she learns who she really is and who was responsible.
